Zig adds mutation and maintenance platform from Casix to its portfolio
Huizen, Nov. 15, 2022 - Zig, market leader for best-of-breed software solutions in the real estate industry, has acquired software company Casix. With this, Zig strengthens its market position and acquires an experienced and reliable partner in the field of digitization and streamlining of complex leasing and maintenance processes. Casix is Zig's second strategic add-on since Main Capital Partners' investment in November 2021.
An innovative real estate cloud platform
Casix is the market leader with its cloud solution for real estate maintenance, in which housing associations and chain partners work together in one environment to efficiently and customer-focusedly handle maintenance requests. By using Casix, maintenance processes are greatly simplified and well-organized, because Casix offers a unique common platform to which both contractor and housing corporation are connected. In this digital gathering place, all important matters are recorded, including the specific work, expected completion date and lists of required materials. In addition, Casix facilitates clear and transparent communication for all parties involved, with all agreements, tasks and prices recorded in the platform. With this, all process steps are already clear before the maintenance order is executed.
Zig and Casix have a common ambition for the housing corporation sector and broader real estate industry: to digitize the chain processes 'mutation' and 'repair' from head to tail for both employee, customer and chain partner. Together, Zig and Casix can optimally digitize processes and involve tenants to the maximum extent. This will deliver both efficiency and higher customer satisfaction, because tenants will be better and proactively informed while employees will have to ask far less questions, because information will be easily available.
Gerbert Kooij, director of Zig: "We are very pleased that Casix has come on board with Zig. Casix's maintenance platform complements Zig's product portfolio on many fronts. Together, we cover the entire rental mutation process, for example. Beautiful and convenient integrations will follow between Casix's rental mutation app and Zig's housing mediation system. The goal is to inform house seekers even better about the current status of a vacant property. In addition, tenants will soon be able to fully follow the repair request process. So with this we are realizing gains on two fronts."
Joining forces with Casix fits into Zig's best-of-breed strategy, in which process optimization and standardization are key principles. Kobbe van Daatselaar, CTO at Zig, explains. "The combined product portfolio enables real estate organizations to further optimize two labor-intensive processes and improve the customer experience. The mutation and maintenance process is now partially covered within Zig and Casix's solutions. Thanks to the cooperation, we cover almost the entire process, resulting in a significantly improved process. For example, in the future it will be possible to increase the quality of ad texts in the Zig offer platform and proactively inform tenants about the progress of a repair request, for example, via a push notification from the app. Zig and Casix both have a strong focus on using CORA and VERA, the industry standards. Partly because of this, working with Casix is a logical choice for us."
Remco van Niekerk and Eco Moll, partners at Casix, also see the collaboration as a step forward. Remco van Niekerk: "Casix and Zig are clearly complementary, both in terms of product portfolio and technology, 1+1=3 really holds true. I also see a real fit in the culture of our companies, with us also adding international experience. I am very proud of what we have achieved with Casix and am convinced that the combination with Zig brings a new dimension to the development of software for all parties in the rental brokerage and maintenance chains."
Eco Moll: "Zig shares our sector-oriented approach, as well as its focus on innovative software that optimally supports work processes and is easy to use. As part of Zig, we can further develop our vision and offer even more added value to both housing associations and contractors."
The entire Casix team will be incorporated into Zig's organization. This not only enriches Zig's current portfolio with an innovative software platform, but also brings in an experienced team of business engineers and consultants, among others. With the addition of Casix, Zig has approximately 150 employees.
